Have you ever thought that you could do more to make a difference in your society?

In one of my books, I described how change comes to a community high in the hills of old time Jamaica.
The WILD PIG in the story is just one example of how a historical character can be a catalyst for a reader becoming A MODERN AGENT OF CHANGE. The stressful event symbolizes two things: (a) a stressful historical event, such as the incident(s) leading up to the encounter with the wild pig (b) a symbol of hope/ an agent of change: the means by which the hope of change materializes and becomes real.
YOU CAN BE AN AGENT OF CHANGE, as shown in this young adult title, Letty’s Pool, where the change that occurs in the lives of the main character is an agent of change and a symbol of hope, although it is a dangerous wild animal. Being an agent of change is to accept possibilities, even if your society is hidden away from the path that travelers love to take, even if the people are steeped in a history and a culture of self-inflicted wounds. Therefore, accepting the challenge of finding 3 ways of becoming an agent of change should not be impossible. In short, wild pig is an agent of change, from generations past, up to the present.
This is the message of LETTY’S POOL.
